BASIC was already an established language before the Altair 8800 came to the market, they created an interpreter, not the language itself.

2. "Gates and Allen traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where MITS was headquartered, to show off their creation." claims by ChatGPT are entirely wrong. See  Factual quotes from Gates and Allen about how Allen traveled alone, Gates stayed behind.

3. "Gates and Allen had to fly from their home in Seattle to Albuquerque, a journey that took several hours." is entirely bogus. They traveled from Harvard, Allen cited that he departed from Logan Airport, Allen traveled alone, Gates did not go. The entire story as told by ChatGPT is wrong.

There are more errors to highlight in the facts and details that ChatGPT presents.  Including bogus quotes from Allen's book, even including page numbers, that fabricate a story.
